Bill Williams, 3rd Parachute Battalion

It is with great sadness and regret that I have to inform you of the passing of one of our veterans and Honorary Life Member, Bill Williams.

Bill passed away this morning aged 98.

At Arnhem Bill served with the 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment. He was captured on the banks of the Rhine and became a prisoner of war. Bill continued to serve with the Parachute Regiment after the war, serving in Palestine and the Suez Canal Zone.
