The Airborne Museum has decided to donate the proceeds from all museum visits on Boxing Day to the United We Stand Foundation. This foundation makes humanitarian efforts in support of the victims of the war in Ukraine.
 
The Airborne Museum tell the story of the Battle of Arnhem. In the spirit of the solidarity and reconstruction that characterized the region after the war, the museum has decided to contribute to the humanitarian efforts for Ukraine on Boxing Day.
 
The United We Stand Foundation is active in various areas, including education, healthcare and humanitarian aid. The foundation does this, among other things, by supplying food, emergency aid packages and warm clothing to (children’s) hospitals and nursing homes. United We Stand works closely with local aid organizations in the regions of Lviv, Kharkiv, Krakow and in the Donbas.
 
Director of the Airborne Museum, Ronnie Weijers emphasized the importance of solidarity: “History has taught us, especially here in this area, the value of compassion and cooperation in times of need. By donating the proceeds from our museum visit on Boxing Day to the United We Stand Foundation, we try to put these values ​​into practice. Unfortunately, solidarity with the war victims in Ukraine is still desperately needed.”
 
The Airborne Museum invites the public to contribute by visiting the museum on Boxing Day to increase support for the United we Stand Foundation.
